    Hello!

    Allow myself to introduce... myself.
A few of you will already know me as I've been a developer here at Eurogamer for 6.5 years now, but I rarely post on the forum (sorry - it's not you, it's me). You may have seen me at the Eurogamer Expo scanning people in or walking around the show floor with a camera.

I'm here because, despite not owning a bike since I was a kid, I've decided to cycle 300 miles from London to Paris for Amnesty International. Over the next few months I'll be training as much as possible (hopefully resulting in a new username) and posting updates on a little blog: http://chris-on-a-bike.blogspot.com

This is where I beg for your help... I need to raise 1400! I will be paying a big chunk of that myself, as I'm fully aware that it'll be a great experience as well as being beneficial to Amnesty International. If you could sponsor me any amount, I'd really appreciate it! Amnesty really do some amazing work.

They campaign for human rights around the world where the rights we take for granted aren't always given. Amongst other things, there are many people around the world who have been falsely imprisoned (and even tortured) for exercising their right to freedom of speech. Reading the average forum post here on Eurogamer, it's clear that you guys regularly exercise (and abuse) that freedom! ;)

If you're interested, here's some of the work Amnesty do: http://www.amnesty.org.uk/content.asp?CategoryID=10010

If I haven't bored you by now and you're still interested in helping, you can either visit my JustGiving page http://www.justgiving.com/Chris-on-a-Bike or just text "WARD66 5" (or any amount) to 70070.

I will be back with 'interesting' tales of my progress!

    Thanks loads in advance,

    Chris
