    I love Scorsese's stuff for the most part, with one of my favourites being the criminally overlooked pathos of King of Comedy. He's a great storyteller with pace, mood and classy editing. He's no Kubrick but then no one is yet.

    However, some of the best films I have SEEN have been due to the beautiful cinematography of the UK's very own Roger Deakins when working with the Coens. O Brother is gorgeous, and when Deakins worked with Chopper director Andrew Dominik on The Assasination of Jesse James... It was one of the most beautifully shot films I have seen since Barry Lyndon.
