I think the point is that nobody would stop getting jobs if employment agents ceased to exist.
Lol! Try that x40 and good consultant speak to the candidate and meet them before submitting to clients.
Look at job description, look at candidate's CV from a jobsite, look at job description again, compare both for keywords phone candidate say "GREAT NEWS WE HAVE A JOB FOR YOU!!", submit CV to employer.
It's the definition of a (useless) middleman.
edit: or even more useless advertise the vacancy on behalf of an employer on a job site and then quickly scan the CV's submitted for keywords, submit ok ones to the employer.
Then there are the 50 odd daily cold sales calls to make PLUS the existing client calls to make PLUS client visits PLUS a high monthly target (£10k - £20k pcm normally) PLUS the added factor of having to deal with people who generally are cunts.
