I've grown tired of the satuation of zombie games too, but The Last of Us gets it right IMO. It's not really being about the 'zombies' (which is a way they aren't anyway), but about the collapse of civilisation, the post-apocalpytic environment and the difficult relationships between survivors. Throw in the mostly excellent gameplay which is nothing like typical zombie games. It's actually a refreshing take on an otherwise cliched theme.
Dead Rising 3 just reminds me of how already bored of zombie games I was when the original came out on the 360 release. It blows my mind that people can still get excited by the concept. Fuck even The Last of Us, which is meant to be the best game of the generation is totally offputting due to the zombie theme.
