My point was that every generation of consoles raises a question:|
- Visual fidelity or Resolution?
..and the choice will depend on the game and the developer. Ruling that you must have 1080p and 60FPS is not only unrealistic, it misses the point of more powerful hardware, ignores the above choice, the inherent finite limitations of any system and the expectations of most gamers of a generational leap in visual fidelity over and above resolution.
If you really just want games to look broadly similar to the current gen but in a higher resolution, that's a pretty depressing outlook. If that's all you want, go and buy a low-mid spec gaming PC.
