Another way of of getting the ribbon may be to go on a map that has narrow corridors and use the mortar in the hope you catch three or four in a tight space. It's a long shot and it may work better on rush (grand bazaar rush?) but then it seems like a difficult ribbon to get.|
Going back to air warfare - I don't think it's broken but I agree with DDB's sentiment. It's not quite right. I've found jets are ok on rush where the jet can focus on one enemy jet and then ground troops. In conquest it feels like just jet v jet. Choppers are okay IMO - at least they have an effect on the ground.
With jets/planes the balance worked in 1943 I think - your main objective was to take out the devastating tanks and preventing enemy planes from doing the same to your own tanks. This rarely happens in BF3.
