Nice bullshit backtrack.
The development was shifted to be a Wii game, and was only released on the Cube as well because there was no real harm in doing a Cube version (and is was essentially the same console). I think Cube copies were limited in number as well iirc.
But Twilight Princess was on the cube as well as the Wii.
I think there's a real possibility that things like a "proper" 3D Mario and even a new Zelda might actually get held back now. The amount of development that goes into one of those games is not something Nintendo will want to waste on a failing console.
We have precedence for this with Twilight Princess.
