Hopefully I'm wrong and wiiU has a robust online system, but yet to hear anything much about the on-line aspect. This is the link.
Your link pretty much confirms the same multiplayer functionality as the PS360 versions:

"eSports on Wii U via League Play: Competition is fun at any level, which is why Treyarch has introduced League Play, offering skill-based matchmaking and seasonal ladders. Play a small number of matches to get your skill rating, and from there, you’ll be placed into a division with players of similar skill. Keep winning and you’ll move up in rank – steady progress will move you up the ladder and into upper divisions. Skill-based matchmaking ensures that you are challenged but not out-gunned. League play is for everyone. Additionally, CODcasting is part of the mix, allowing fans to commentate their favorite games."
The bots mode sounds like the 'Combat Training' mentioned in 'More Multiplayer'.

Have they commented on the statements they made at the US Nintendo Direct conference about this running in 'Full HD'?
Was it some PR reps misunderstanding what exactly Full HD means or counting the usual console COD sub HD being upscaled to 1080p as somehow Full HD.

If this is capable of running in native 1080p at 60fps (consideing current consoles can't even manage true 720p natively), while at the same time running a 2nd player on the Gamepad screen at 480p 60fps. That's not too shabby at all.
