Bramwell was joking but having now read the thread (and this one) realises he probably should have thought longer about it before hitting send!
Random aside: Something having loads of comments doesn't always mean it's doing a disproportionately large amount of traffic. This one was about average - it just got a lot of people's backs up, which has been instructive for us rather than profitable. If I'd wanted it to get tons of hits I would have renamed it something provocative like "Don't buy Duke Nukem Forever" and published it on Wednesday afternoon.
Yep, I'm sorry if I upset anyone. I've known Rob for a very long time and was sharing a joke publicly. The "climb a wall of dicks" thing is a reference to a comment on an IGN article years ago which became a shamelessly puerile in-joke in the office for a while. I realise that stuff I say on Twitter probably needs to pass through a "public commentary" filter though, so if I can't figure out how to install one in my head I'll reconsider how I use it.
