Xbox's are for people who don't play games. They're a conversational piece for peoples' living rooms, people who're concerned with social status. However, they do have Halo, so perhaps you should still get one when they are less expensive.
I'm just being bitter, really. Xbox has online capabilities, whereas Shigeru and his zany lot decided that gimmicky GBA connectivity was more important. The bottom line really is: get whatever console has the most games you want to play.
