    It's mainly so they can screw any team that comes calling for a huge fee. I think he's a very good manager, and they've looked at it and thought they may as well have some continuity whilst ensuring no-one can nick him on the cheap. As others have said, there'll be performance clauses in there. Shrewd move IMO.
