Sounds like bad RAM, try taking one stick out, if that fixes it, you know that stick was faulty. If it doesn't, you know that stick is good and you can try it with that stick alone.|
Happened to me with lots of games a while back, thought it was all sorts of things, bad gfx card, out of date drivers, etc... turned out to be the memory.
I'm not saying that it definitely is in your case, but it's the easiest thing to rule out if you try it.
