Thanks for the comments. It may very well be that my 3D experience will improve with time and some practice, so I'll persist (and again, this is not difficult, thanks to zelda)
Usually manufacturing processes for new products tend to improve with time; if your hypothesis is correct, the number of customers complaining about 3D will gradually decrease (I am sure Nintendo is collecting statistics, but I doubt we will ever see them). However, I am more inclined to think that subjectivity in perceiving 3D is playing a bigger role in this.
