    The best writing on the block, basically. I just read Oli's Need for Speed: Shift review, which was the wittiest, most incisive thing I'd ever read, then glanced over Quintin's Bushido Blade retrospective, which was the wittiest, most incisive thing I'd ever read, then thought "third time's the charm" and skimmed the first page of Jim's Borderlands review, which was the wittiest, most incisive thing I'd ever read.

    We who like to call ourselves the "gaming press" are an unsightly fag end upon the marvellous pink frosted confection of Eurogamer's flair, a confection in which terms like "hybridisation" can meet, greet and dance the night away with metaphors about trapping your bollocks in a hardback. You can knock the scores and the opinions, but you can't fault how they're worded. Here's to another 10 years of gut-churning envy...
