I found that it started with great promise, but gradually got worse as all the really poor design decisions built up. It amazes me how some of these things were not fixed in QA. For example it's one of the most linear experiences I've played this generation, but whenever anything resembling a puzzle comes up then camera control is stolen from you (in real time, frequently resulting in me getting hit by a now off-screen enemy - the closest this ever comes to being "classic" Resi) to show you exactly where you're supposed to be going to solve this particular brain teaser.|
Oh and a tip for those who have picked it up in the sales and may have only just started - turn off the HUD. It changes the game from a boring follow-the-waypoint shooter to a far more challenging adventure.
