Reading on autosport forums, its seems that the people that were actually there, the conditions were pretty bad. But internet warrior bashing morons are outraged as usual (you're not one of those though )
I'm not saying you are totally wrong, as there have been times in the past they could have raced when they havn't, it seems the issue at hand is the timing of the sessions to allow europeans to watch it live. If they had it normally theres a huge chance QF would have been decided.
Yet we are the first to moan that more tracks are going outside europe and f1 losing it traditional and classic image. So?
All i'm going to say is that tv pictures always make conditions better than they actually are. Like when watching football from a normal perspective it looks ok, and then switches to a pitch level camera and its actually belting down. When in cricket bad light or rain stops play, looks rough, but then goes to a pitch side camera whos aperture and shutter speeds havn't been set and it so much darker than the main camera etc.
