    It seems to depend largely on where you live and what the resulting dialect of her peer group will be; this is usually far more influential than the model of either parent....though it's also typical that the mother as primary caregiver has a stronger influence here than the uselessly absent Dad.

    Still, you know, I'm rooting for your baby to follow in your reet northern footsteps, for what it's worth. :-)
