Looks pretty good. I'm in two minds about the homing attack: it speeds up the gameplay suitably when you're heading towards springs and powerups, but a Sonic platformer doesn't really need another one size fits all 'kill' button.|
The level shown seems to have a lot of steep inclines for the player to keep landing on, slowing gameplay down a lot. I think the older games tried to avoid those kind of angles unless it was trying to discourage you from backtracking or finding a secret, but whatever.
