I don't expect Murray to fully repeat the success of Lendl, but he is reportedly paying the guy an absolute fortune with a 7 figure bonus if he wins a slam, so both of them will be putting everything into making that relationship work. Murrays greatest weakness has always been his in game mentality and reduced risk play during key moments, along with his serve. As someone who has watched him consistently (i.e.) all year round throughout the last 5-6 seasons, all of these have improved noticeably under his new coach.
#1 player isn't everything, how often has the #1 womens seed won Wimbledon in the last few years? Hardly ever.
