|Not really that surprising if you consider that they were bought out by Rakuten (a big Japanese company) last year and this is how they operate - they're not a retailer but a marketplace. I think the theory is that they'll concentrate on building long-term relationships with sellers rather than competing with them (which is harder anyway now the Jersey-VAT-tax-loophole is shut down). Compared to the free-for-all that Ebay and Amazon marketplace can be, there should be fewer fake items and wildly fluctuating prices.|
