Buying Chew has turned into a bit of a hassle. Went seeking the Omnivore edition, which collects the first ten issues. WHSmith were the cheapest, ordered it, received an email the day after saying they couldn't source it.
Fair enough, off I went, Book Depository the next cheapest, ordered it. Got an email from them the day after, dispatched. Later that same day, WHSmith email me to say my order has been dispatched. Both shops say it's too late for the order to be cancelled as the books have actually been sent but I can return them through the post.
The WHSmith order turned up first, lovely edition, front and back covers a little crackly at the spine when they open at first, but overall a good hardcover with some extra art and story bits at the back. Well worth the money, except one of the pages has a quarter-length vertical tear through the middle. Damn it.
The comic's good though! Not entirely sold on the art style.
