I'm just annoyed that I can run this with AA and not drop below 60FPS yet if I do the game is broken, it's bizarre and it looks like I'm not the only one with the issue. It'll be interesting to see if it has the same effect on Nvidia cards.

I've switched over from a GTX 280 to 2 x HD 5870s in CrossFireX and I've noticed that AA support for UE3-based games is much weaker on ATI cards than it was on NVIDIA cards. For example, I played both BioShock and BioShock 2 in DX10 mode with AA forced via nHancer but neither game supports AA on the HD 5870 unless I run them in DX9 mode. It's a shame there isn't a tool like nHancer for the ATI cards to create your own profiles because AA support is totally in the hands of ATI and they can be very slow at supporting new games.

Blame Nvidia for encouraging (read as paying off) developers to hinder ATI equipped machines. Read up on that Arkham Asylum thing and after some gentle googling, more stories appear.
