Koreans all do LAN - lots of their SC playing happens in net cafe ("PC baang" I think is the phrase) places, after all.|
I think Pardo's statements are being a bit misinterpreted, though. I can't imagine that SC2 won't support local gameplay (not least since it was working just fine in the version of the game which I played last week), it's just that you'll set up those games on Battle.net, so presumably your LAN will need an Internet gateway. It's pretty rare to have a gaming LAN without a net connection these days, so I can't see that being a huge problem for people.
