Bear in mind the cost of a replacement bulb when considering this. 3000 hours is abolute best case scenario and in economy mode also I believe.
Think how many films or TV programs 2000 hours is? I would guess at about 847 hours a year using it as a TV and movie machin and console viewer(I know because thats what I used it for and thats how many hours are on the internal timer.).
Its always ran on econ mode as there is no need for any more brightness.
