Formed in October 1995 by Rob Denton and Mark Jacobs, Mythic is most well known for Dark Age of Camelot. There were many more games developed by the company before the launch of Camelot in October 2001, however. The origins of the company go back even further than 1995. Mythic was created with the merger of two early online game developers, Adventures Unlimited Software Inc. (AUSI) and Interesting Systems Inc (ISI).
The company was acquired by Electronic Arts in June 2006, and renamed EA Mythic (and is technically now known as Bioware Mythic). It currently runs the Warhammer: Age of Reckoning MMO title.
