EA and MTV have let fly a few new details for their upcoming rhythm-action game Rock Band, including a handful of fresh songs.
Joining the four previously confirmed tracks will be Mississippi from Mountain, Suffragette City by David Bowie, Don't Fear the Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult and Main Offender by The Hives.
The full list is expected to be vast, with developer Harmonix being given access to the vaults of the biggest record labels in the world. Read more...

A financial analysis of EA's bank vaults has let slip that Godfather 2 is in development.
The paper was put together by Nollenberger Capital Partners to help investors make tricky decisions, and was based on going behind the scenes at the publishing giant.
"Interestingly, we learned that EA is leveraging the significant amount of development time and costs that went into The Godfather game," it read. "The open-world engine was built from the ground up for Godfather, and is now being used by five different franchises, including The Simpsons." Read more...

Blitz Games has begun work on a meaty new title for Xbox 360 and PS3, GamesIndustry.biz is reporting.
And while work on current project Possession will have to go on hold, Blitz was keen to point out that it played a key role in helping the developer sign the new deal.
"Work on Possession is temporarily on hold but only because we've reassigned the team to work on a major new project on PS3 and Xbox 360," said a senior spokesperson for the company. Read more...
