Zipper: SOCOM 4 "will be worth the wait"
Game delay confirmed.
PS3 developer Zipper Interactive has promised gamers the recently delayed SOCOM 4 will be worth the wait.
Zipper confirmed yesterday that the shooter, which is PlayStation Move compatible, will be released next year.
"While we're certainly aware that you've been looking forward to playing SOCOM 4 this year, we don't want to take any shortcuts," Zipper's senior community manager Jeremy Dunham wrote on the game's official website.
"Instead, we want to deliver the best and most immersive SOCOM game we possibly can and we're going to use our extra time to do just that.
"On behalf of everyone here at Zipper Interactive, we want to thank you for being patient and thank you for sticking with us - it will be worth the wait."
Ellie interviewed European SOCOM producer Elliott Martin back in April and discovered all sorts of interesting gubbins about the military shooter. Trailer's below.

Just a shame it's one less core game that supports move this year.

Probably right plus Reach was coming out around the same time also so could explain it.
As for MAG, you either love it or hate it much like Socom to be honest. Just don't release this near KZ3

Are you looking at the video in the article? If so, you can't judge lag based on that footage where the player moves is shown as picture-in-picture. That lag is propably just caused by the editing of the video or other video equipment.
To correctly judge lag, look at footage of the screen (gameplay) and player recorded by the same camera at the same time.

Yeah that's what I was doing. If that's so then fair enough. I'd be interested in trying out something like this with Move but not if there's lag. Even half a second can make the difference between life and death (in game ofc).
Are there any videos showing footage of the player and the screen at the same time?

Kinect on the other hand......

I agree - a half a second (500ms) would be game-ruining - but I doubt you will see that in a Move title
