I wonder if it isn't a bit exhausting though if you have to turn the objects by dragging your finger all across such a large screen continuously. The original was already very thumb-intensive.

I never even thought about multi-user support, but you are right on the money there. I saw the iPad as a very handy (if pricey) device for all the things you describe, but as you say if the various members of a household can't keep their emails, calendars and so on seperate, it isn't really going to cut it.
