I'd agree with the 360 based on originality - the best games mentioned for the PS3 are all re-releases, reworkings or new versions of older games (apart from Warhawk, which I thought was very mediocre). Braid is the decider for me, although the interface is desperate for the update now as no one wants to trawl through those menus.

"It just seems that some console owners can only see criticism aimed at their machine and praise aimed at the others. "

so true and so sodding sad.

Why people are too narrow mindd tobe able to appreciate and enjoy all the consoles is beyond me.

It seems more a religion that a hobby to some people.

Why is Thursday an awkward day? Why is it worse than Wednesday or Friday..? I don't get it. Only 'awkward' day I can think of would be Sunday, since that would just be cruel teasing as you wander off to work the next day..

I imagine what the author of the article was getting at was that while in the UK new retail releases arrive on a Friday in the US Wednesday is usually the day of new retail releases, so these two days are associated with new releases in their respective countries (this is also the reason why games that get a simultaneous worldwide release like GTA4 and Halo 3 came out in the UK on a Wednesday). Thursday therefore is like the piggy in the middle with no association to a retail release date.

HOWEVER the Wednesday release would mean pretty much nothing to most UK residents and vice versa the Friday would mean nothing to those in the US. And to be honest I don't see why they had to set a particular day to release them that is different form the competitors.

So in conclusion the release day is completely arbitrary and trying to decide which service is better based on this is pointless.

I've only just read the article, and some of the comments. I am adding my voice of concern that wipout HD and siren blood curse were not included regarding PSN, both great games for different reasons, Wipeout HD is an absolutely fantastic game.

The article was a great idea, just poorly implemented.

I have all three consoles and used DLC regularly, PSN is certainlly improving and have some great and unmissable gems in form of Wipeout HD, Siren and few others already mentioned by so many Sony owners (see previous posts for help!). On the overall basis X360 do shines bit more for me, due to having more higher scoring games whether retreads such as Rez, Soul Calibur, Duke Nuken 3D or Doom and new titles such as Braids, GW2 and Pacman CE.

This is just my opinon and I will not thrust it down anyone throats or cry foul at the hapless reviewer, this very same reviewer who praised Wipeout HD is being stoned because of hiccups at EG not uploading this article quick enough or having it updated.

I dont think having the article patched with full inclusions of all the titles would really change the balance that much, I still KNOW I will delights in XBL and PSN no matter the conclusions stating a close win for one or the other!

No mention of WiiWare or VC from me? The storage space have simply got to me to the point that I m leaving Wii off for months now.

/At Wii: Rasspberries so there, until you get storage space you not gonna be activated!

So from all the comments ive read, wipeout means psn is the better service? what a totally blinkered and fanboy comment to make. Im genuinely disappointed with the toss people say to defend their chosen hunk of metal and plastic. lol

Depends solely on preference.

I think personally that PSN has come a long way and it's still a young system. It also has some good quality games worth checking out. It's just an article-no need to freak out. I didn't expect this article to declare PSN the winner anyway.

This time is a PS3 win. Has better prices and a more clear economic polytic, more simple interface, and titles with very high values in terms of production: Warhwak, GT Prologue, Tekken 5 DRO, Wipe Out HD, Siren, Echochrome...

The other options simply can't stand against the high end products in the PSN, and even the more modest ones are usually good in quality. But again: with things like WO HD, Warhawk or Siren the XBL and VC acn't compete. Of course, Steam and EA Store in PC can, but in consoles PSN is now the best one.
