WOW: Lich King date confirmed

Simultaneous in US and Europe.

Blizzard has confirmed this morning's reports: World of Warcraft expansion Wrath of the Lich King will launch on 13th November.

This is the launch date for the US, Europe, Mexico, Argentina, Chile and Russia. It will arrive the next day, 14th November, in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.

Finally, Korea and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau will get it on 18th November. There's no date yet for launch on mainland China.

The news comes just as World of Warcraft faces some stiff competition, in the form of this week's release of Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning.

Oodles of information on the Wrath of the Lich King gamepage. Watch out for more impressions from the beta test soon.

Can't wait!! Oh wait, I can. I quit WoW almost 2 years ago.

It would be nice if every Eurogamer member would comment on whether they quit WoW yet or not. Oh wait, noone cares.

A subtle dig at Warhammer's animations?

Having played both Lich King and Warhammer in Beta, I can only say that WoW is still the smoothest and most accomplished game. But if you want to try something new, Warhammer is certainly quite good, even if the graphics are dissapointing.

Will EG be handing out some beta keys again like they did with The Burning Crusade?

Didn't play much of the beta admittedly but I did enjoy the end-of-the-world sacking of the whole game world by the demons, infernals and what have you.

Glad it's still coming...almost decided to give WAR a bash but I was a little scared of it turning out to be AoC (which is good but it was released at least 6 months too early).

Pity I can't get hold of the collectors edition though - seems as if we got excluded again (just like Blizz excludes our country from anything promotional).

    I'm glad it's coming

but hearing its release is imminent has kinda sucked any impetus for doing anything in game, haha.

I could go for this new thing or that new thing, but in 8 weeks or whenever, it'll be as redundant as my old Benediction ;'(

    oh well nvm!

i'm in the beta, prepare to be blown away, if you're horde that is :)

remember coming out of the dark portal into hellfire? think that feeling times about 4.

anyone whos horde and in the beta will know what i mean when i say "warsong hold is a bit big"

First impressions of WAR were very favourable. The public quest system is genius. I think it could be a serious rival given the right marketing. And there isn't anything wrong with it graphically.
