Worms XBLA finally certified News
Xbox 360 News by Robert Purchese
Worms long-awaited Xbox Live Arcade release got a little closer today, with the news that the Team 17 classic has officially passed its certification process.
Team 17 studio director Martyn Brown told Eurogamer the good news earlier this morning, but admitted a release date has yet to be confirmed.
"We're not sure of the date just yet - it's only been certified for about six hours! - but I imagine it'll be a few weeks given the line up," Brown told us.
Despite the ongoing delays in burrowing towards the elusive certification, Brown remains positive about the overall experience, telling us he had enjoyed making Worms for XBLA. He also revealed that he hoped the Wakefield-based developer would be a part of future downloadable projects.
"We've really embraced the whole digital network stuff; enjoyed bringing Worms to XBLA and also Lemmings for PS3," he added.
Which leaves us with plenty of room to speculate about what Team 17 will bring us next. Hands up for Live co-op Alien Breed.
