Worms Open Warfare 2 details
New modes, online gameplay.
THQ has disclosed a bit more information about Worms: Open Warfare 2, which we told you about earlier this month.
Due out on PSP, DS and mobile this July, WOW2 introduces new modes and online gameplay as well as a raft of new weapons, customisation options and levels - with pirates, World War II and shoot-'em-up themes mentioned.
New modes include Rope Race, Fort and Puzzle with a proper Campaign too, while fans can look forward to getting their trigger-fingers on the Bunker Buster and Buffalo of Lies - as well as old favourites like the Super Sheep, Concrete Donkey and Holy Hand Grenade.
Online gameplay will allow you to tackle people from across the planet, with daily updated player stats and leaderboards to be kept in check on the official Worms website.
Worms fans will also be able to edit the landscape, flags, hats, tombstones and even victory dances in addition to creating their own teams, which they could do in the original game - reviewed elsewhere on the site.
All of which should keep the series' many fans happy, with "how happy?" a question we hope to answer closer to the game's release.
