really unimpressed, the landscapes look more generic and boring than the ones which the game shipped with. Seeing places like Thunderbluff for the first time was awe inspiring, these are just, meh. I can't even spot any new textures!

Maybe the success has made them a little lazy. They announced the game with a really poor (and cobbled together) in-game movie rather than the usual fantastic FMV and now these screenshots :P

After the Diablo III gameplay footage, I'm really not impressed by this. It's starting to looking a little tired, & basically just more of the same.

Agree with Restart. They have done much better work then this.


I really hope they dont repeat the mistakes with BC and have a reasonable casual endgame for people.

Just standard WoW visuals and art-style, though it does look slightly better (but then, I probably just think that because my PC is pigsh*t and so WoW doesn't look at its best for me).

I actually enjoyed the more unique and artistic style of Burning Crusade, as opposed to the 'ripped from every RPG under the sun' design of the main WoW game, but whatever, I think WotLK will still be passable. It certainly looks like a game I could easily loose myself in, which is good enough.

Personally dont play Wow (anymore), but this looks fukken beautiful.
The "hate-on-wow" is very old and already done. Come up with something fresh trolls.

Love WoW more than every game ever rolled together and smeared in honey.

It is not just the best game ever made, it is by a huge margin.

Well, graphics has never been the strength point of WoW so don't expect the next expansion to break the barrier in this department.

For me WoW strength has always been about accessability, immersiveness, good interface and pvp.

Kinda disagree with some of the posters defending Lich. The orginnal WoW featured graphic design which have yet to be matched. Ironforge, Blackrock mountain, The Cauldron etc. Also the northen Barrens (near the harpies) at sunset is still breathtaking. The new stuff just does not appear to me to be up to scratch compared to this.

I despise WoW's gameplay after playing for 2 years, I like the graphical style, but it's true that these screens aren't exactly awe-inspiring...

Oh yeah, it's great fun being killed by people with uber armour with 10x your stats...

It really annoys me when people criticize WOW's graphics. IMO it's got the best art style of any game out there now or before. The art direction has been consistently amazing throughout and i think these new screenshots look stunning.

Bah, and don't get me started about Age of Conan's graphics. I don't care how many polys it's pushing it looks dire in comparison to WOW. ( plays like crap too).

Rant over....I need a drink.
