Metal Gear Solid 4 deserved nothing more than an 8. Average online. Average story. Great graphics. Good gameplay. Good music.
This on the other hand seems great. Will preorder most definitely.

Says on the website that the PC verison has gone gold on September 9 (for the boxed release), so why isn't it downloadable yet? Not some sort of agreement with Nintendo, hopefully?

'Some sort of agreement with Nintendo' is the reason it wasn't released last February, so it seems likely to be a factor in the exact release date too.

"'I have to imagine the Wii's graphics will be scaled back considerably.'

lol oh god, you people have no shame, do you."

Uh... you lost me man. I'm supposed to be ashamed for stating the probable, if not obvious? What's the problem, exactly?

Man, I wish they'd leave PC gaming alone.

1. The problem is that this is essentially a Flash game. Its PC minimum spec is a 1GHz processor. The Wii is less powerful than the 360 and the PS3; we get it... but there are limits to how far you can push that pointless schtick and you're miles beyond them.

2. And indeed, the release is now announced as October 13, the same as the WiiWare release.

Summary of review: "Oh, Goo. Goo is amazing. Did I tell you how amazing it is? Specifics? Well, it's beautiful. And amazing. Did I tell you how beautiful it was? MUCH BETTER THAN BRAID (which I must arbitrarily mention so I sound edgy and relevant). 9/10"
