Wonder Woman heads to Mortal Kombat

We don't know what to say.

Midway has announced plans to include Wonder Woman in Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe.

She, in her sparkly leotard, will join the likes of Raiden, Kano and Deathstroke in the gory fighting game this autumn. Lovely Lynda Carter. [Bit sinister. - Ed]

Superman, Batman, Scorpion and Sub-Zero are also present, and will battle each other in multi-tiered environments using an array of fresh and fancy special moves.

Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe is one of the games Midway will be showing to crowds this week at the Leipzig Games Convention.

    I have to agree. I migrated away from SF to MK many years ago as my favourite fighter, and was also the first in my local 'cade to finish MK1 on a single credit back in t'day, and Ive followed all MK games and liked them all as well... but this one, it really doesnt interest me one bit. Based on videos alone (as obviously ive not played it yet) , it looks severely lacking in originality and gameplay and bolting on DC comic characters just smarts of desperation.

    The latest Zero Punctuation vid sums it up quite nicely with SC4 including star wars chaps, and this is the same.

    Its a poor show and no amount of explaining and magical element nonsense will correct the major flaw that is superman...

    Hate to be a positive gamer, but this looks ace.

    Not as good as SF4 but still looks great.

    At least superman's weaknesses can explained by his weakness to magic or the battles taking place on kryptonite island. Wonder Woman is almost as tough as supes but doesn't share any of his weaknesses.

    That's true of quite a lot of DC heroes. How do you slow down the Flash? How do you fight Green Lantern, whose ring can do almost anything? Okay, it's immune against the colour yellow, so maybe he's shit against Scorpion or something, but apart from that. Darkseid's a god, Doomsday's unstoppable, Captain Marvel's as strong as Superman, the Martian Manhunter's maybe even stronger... You can see where I'm going with this.

    Having said all that, I still think this might just be a brain-free laugh riot!

    Britesparc,

    If you read recent Green lantern , you will find the he's not vulnerable to yellow anymore but to the 'fear'! Check out the Sinestro corps war its great.

    Basically dont try get your head around the absurdities of DC fighting MK and just go along for the ride.

    I'm looking forward to this but will wait until it hits the bargain bins. SF4 and Soul Calibur 4 are infintely better though
