Wolfenstein delayed slightly

For "simultaneous global release".

Raven's upcoming first-person shooter Wolfenstein has been delayed until the week beginning 17th August in the US.

Activision told US news sites that this was to "facilitate a simultaneous global release window", although UK retailers are suggesting a 14th August date. Have we won World War II again?

We've contacted Activision for comment. On the first bit.

Wolfenstein is due out for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360, and you can check out our most recent hands-on preview in the page labelled Wolfenstein hands-on preview for security.

In addition to shooting Nazi zombies in the face, it introduces veil powers, which allow you to manipulate time and space - which seems apt.

    Wolfenstein is out mid-August?!? :o

Wow, I had no idea it was that soon as I've seen very little in the way of promotion or previews for this game. That usually isn't a good sign...

Yeah, Activision seem to be giving this title the finger right now. A G4 coverage is the biggest I've seen and that was months ago, didn't even know this was gearing up for release.

I think it looks pretty fun if not revolutionary, would like to know more about multiplayer.

It's one of those titles that I'll take a chance on regardless...i remember watching my older brother playing the original on his PC many moons ago...

Yeah I don't think hardly anyone's seen a preview version. Activision are tight lipped...hmmm
