Rash' urged to return to reply to posts and questions for me.
Well thats why I hardly ever post, I see the PS3 as the least appealing console for me(not to mention some members of the fanboy community it has are the most annoying and embarressing Ive seen) thats how it is, people dont like negativity... yet saying that(correct me if Im wrong or have you confused with someone else) Im pretty sure Ive seen you jump to the defense of people doing something much worse in 360 threads quite often... out and out trolling; in short get off your high horse. :) Enjoy the game and chear up a bit, really shouldnt matter if I dont hold the same oppinion as you, I actually said Id give it a whirl if I were able to. |

I'm looking forward to it too. If the 360 was fortunate enough for WipEout HD to made made for it (which it isn't and never will be), it'd look exactly the same. All this 360/PS3 bashing does my head in. |

Yes - this title has been engineered to run at 1080p 60fps.
Therefore the developers would have had to play through each track and take out detail at any point in the game that shows too much for the engine to keep up the 60fps. It's nice when you can do this - and I'm happy about it, but it's ultimately cheating, and could be done on the 360 if the game was not an exclusive by a now in-house dev. It's almost the opposite of what R* do with GTA. They focus on the game and alow the frame rate to dip with priority given to creaativity and creating an interesting interactive world. As long as the game turns out good then I'm happy. PS3lol /plans purchase of BC PS3 within 18 months... |

Rash' Im certainly not trolling I hope you are not suggesting Apolol isnt a clown are you? because other than that I just said it looks ok but wouldnt buy a PS3 for it in so many words and as for mentioning LBP it was mentioned a few times before I mentioned it as a reason for buying a PS3... in short I dont have a reason yet is that so hard to accept? Thats not trolling, check the latest 100+ 360 articles for examples of that.
Ok to summarise trolls/ill-informed fanboys are annoying, game looks ok; enjoy it, nuff' said.

Calgon: The question is why chime in at all. People are posting their enthusiasm for the system and it's games. So why do you feel compelled to come in with your negative input and comment on that? They weren't making any direct comparisons with 360 and the like, which is what usually sets you off.
There have been some childish trolling, but if you take the bait knowingly you are just as much in the wrong as the fanboys.

Why is the good PS3 reviews always so troll infested in the comment sections?.
This to me is a killer app and by the looks of things this might even be a AAA title (if the reviews online so far is an indication). I seriously fail to see the reason to the slagfeast thats going around but then again, it seems all good games get alot of comments and way too much zealotry/trolling/*fanboyism. One tip to all , its kinda odd to see the same faces (i read EG daily) jump into threads and topics they actually resent, just to post bullshit... like theyre trying to protect their investment (NOOOO, this game can't be good, i put all my money on the Xbox360 and this game is for the rival so the game must be really bad and EG sucks bla bla ... and ofcourse VICE VERSA (yes ps3fanboys/zealots). This is the main reason why i simply don't like the Internet, its so full of people who think theyre Number One and everything they say is right. Like it or not, i will buy WipeOut HD next thursday (25th),what you do,is up to u. |

oh wait, I have one and have played some great games already.... fondly remembers Drakes, Ratchet, Heavenly Sword, Siren, MGS4, Resistance, Booty, F1, Pain, Eden, Warhawk.. etc... oh it also plays bluray and I seem to remember playing COD etc for free online. Just too balance, my 360 ain't bad either... Lost Odysee, Infinate Undiscovery, Mass Effect, Gears.. owning both consoles is fricken sweet. |

My sister bought a Wii last christmas there with Super Mario something or other, played for about 15mins, Harry potter, still in plastic cover and Resident Evil, quite good but never finished it. I don't think it has been turned on in the last 6months and with the influx of quality games comin up on PS3 in the next while i'm considerin packin it up and tradin it in without her knowledge.
As for the my console is better than yours people are going to say the one they own is best even if they don't believe so, so it's better not to get involved with it. I've always owned playstations so thats why I got a PS3 and don't have any regrets, both consoles have their pros and cons and we will only see in a few years what they are capable of. As for owning both consoles, I spent way too much money gettin a decent set-up for my PS3 to even consider gettin a 360, that and more PS3 games appeal to me than games on 360 and I don't really like the 360 controller, remember personal opinion. Played the original WipEout years ago, this looks excitin so def gonna splash out that £12 on it, it's only a few days before the student loan comes in as well so the overdraft might extend for a few days! |

The worst kind of rabid fanboi troll is the one who doesn't even realise they're one or won't accept being labelled one. Then when confronted about being a troll they try in vain to convince people they're not a troll and are just posting their 'opinion'.

Calgon... I don't know why you are wasting your time writing garbage on here if you have no interest in the PS3, but i'd just like to say the last 2 consoles i owned were the 360 and original xbox and before them it was always Nintendo, they were brilliant( well Gamecube maybe not :) The PS3 is the first Playstation console i've owned and from having a 360 for over 3 years and the dreaded ring of death in my opinion in just over 6 months of owning a PS3, the PS3 is a better machine in all aspects not just gaming and anyway I know when LBP is released alot of xbox fanboys and such are going to be secretly drooling over the game and wanting it and I won't be surprised if they either buy a 2nd console or trade in their xbox's, i did and have already payed for LBP in not having to pay £5 a month XBL Gold fee :).
I don't think I'm alone in saying LBP will be the biggest thing in gaming since space invaders and pac-man, sort of re-inventing the wheel( in a felt/cushiony sackboy way:) and one more thing, do you go back and forth between xbox and PS3 threads? cus' that's sad if it's true. I've never been on an Xbox forum and never felt the need to, especially to bash whatever their hyping or whatever. Just stick to what you have an inherent interest in, makes sense to me. |

+1 to Pendulum, I've heard them described as the Judge Jules of Drum And Bass. Some good recommendations but I would AVOID The Outsider by DJ Shadow! After wonderful things like Endtroducing, The Private Press, the collab with UNKLE... massive let down. Mostly devoid of the imagination and spark that made all those so wonderful. Leftfield albums are amazing, Orbitals In Sides (including PETROL) and Snivilisation all good, there is a great Underworld anthology out there too. I'm probably going to dive into Squarepusher's Hello Everything, get Chemical Brothers It Began In Afrika on the go.... loads of stuff. |

that's a really good idea... they should release a bundle for XMAS with 1 blu ray, 1 game (LBP) and 5 games from the online store pre-installed (including this). for £299 I am sure that would sell. re article: game: looks good, good price, will get it. comments: look good but usual crap, good read though. keep it up :) day: so far so good. NYSE will open shortely, looking forward to the blood bath. entertaining stuff. |

I think the new PS3 bundle that comes to EU will have a 70 Euro credits included so you can download games from PSN! thats sweet for new ppl, and me...since right now I am abusing my bro's PS3 ;p will buy my own next year when bigger HDDs will be bundled in ;p
Can't wait for this really, I recently got my hands on star dust, man.....PSN has really neat games xD should I try warhawk too? oO |
