WipEout HD arriving next week
Yours for less than 12 British pounds.
Sony has confirmed WipEout HD will be released next week.
It's out on Thursday 25th September, to be precise, in both the UK and US. Over here it'll set you back GBP 11.99.
As you'll know if you read Eurogamer's review, published today, Dan reckons it's well worth the money. Even the Sixaxis bit is quite good apparently.
Roll on the 25th, then.

Well done Sony, you're getting quite good at this game lark again lately aren't ya (still no G-Police 3, Getaway 3 or PS2 B/C though you gits!). Even as a serious 360 fan I have to admit MS should start looking over their shoulder......

Even though the game is just reusing Pure and Pulse tracks, the graphics are so majorly reworked and improved that this hardly qualifies as a port - even if we don't take into account the few gameplay and gamemode improvements or changes.
It's not like Tekken: Dark Resurrection which was almost just an upscaling of the original PSP graphics assets, and, decent though it looked, graphically no match for "proper" current gen titles like Virtua Fighter 5 and Soul Calibur 4. WipEout HD on the other hand very much looks like a true PS3 title.
Either way, even if it didn't look as fantastic as the case seems to be, I would still very much be looking forward to playing WipEout on my 40" TV rather than on that tiny PSP screen. Alright, I have tried a TV out cable, but even with the zoom controls on my TV, the PSP image in games will only stretch to less than half the screen size, and looks rather horrible doing so

The download is around 990MBs and is more than worth it.
I work for a Norwegian ps3-forum, so I've been reviewing it the past two days. It's the dog's bollocks as you Brits would say.
Best PSN game so far. By far.
