Wii's Hanabi Festival starts today
Plus WiiWare and DSiWare treats.
Nintendo's Hanabi Festival returns today, making NeoGeo game Iron Clad and NES game Lode Runner available in Europe for the first time.
That's so brilliant that Nintendo has bumped up the price, raising Iron Clad from 900 to 1000 Wii Points (£7/€10), and Lode Runner from 500 to 600 Wii Points (£4.20/€6).
On WiiWare today is Military Madness, a moon-based, turn-based, hexagonal-grid strategy game that requires three hyphens to describe. This costs 1000 Wii Points (£7/€10). There's a website.
The rest belong to DSiWare, and a lot left there is. Pop Island, a bright and colourful capture the flag game with surfing penguins and jetskiing crocodiles, costs 500 DSi Points (£4.50/€5).
Simply Mahjong and Simply Sudoku are exactly what they claim to be, and cost 200 DSi Points (£1.80/€2) each.
Finally, 4 Travellers: Play Spanish is a multiplayer game that is fun and also teaches you Spanish, and Elemental Masters is a high-fantasy card game adventure. Those two cost 800 DSi Points (£7.20/€8) each.
