Wii receiving online photo service

Order prints, albums, name cards.

Nintendo is allowing Japanese gamers to upload and print photos using their Wii consoles.

The online service, run by Fujifilm, requires you transfer pictures to the console using a camera memory card.

Once uploaded there's the choice of ordering individual prints or albums, plus name cards with your face or your Mii face on. Brilliant. Nintendo is offering themed templates based around the Super Mario series, too.

Fujifilm handles all payment, production and delivery guff, but will only accept credit card and not Wii Points as payment.

There are plans to make this photo service available worldwide, but dates are yet to be announced.

Awesome! I use Snapfish all the time so hopefully that's who they go with in the UK.

Bit of a shame you can't use Wii points, but eh I use my credit card to buy wii points on the Wii so it's not actually any different really.

I'm glad Nintendo are doing things like this rather than sorting out the Wii storage problem. Or delivering a richer, diverse set of 1st party content.

A 360 owner has no place acting high and mighty regarding another console's hardware problems or first party content.

(Before you go there, learn the difference between first and second party.)

EDIT: You don't appear to own a Wii... How do any of these problems affect you? Or you do you think 'forum troll' is a hobby you can tell your mum about?

@Lazydan Don't be mean. It's the school holidays - he could be hanging out on street corners or outside your local shop causing grief.

@Lazydan: As knocker said he's obviously very young and if he considers Wii Sports, TLOZ: Twilight Princess, Wario Ware, Metroid Prime 3, Super Paper Mario, Fire Emblem, Super Mario Galaxy, Wii Fit, Mario Kart, Super Smash Brothers: Brawl, Wii Music etc... a diverse and rich set of 1st party content.
