Wii Fit date announcement today News

Nintendo has told Eurogamer it plans to reveal information on the Wii Fit release date later today.

The platform holder was responding to an article in The Wall Street Journal, which said both WiiWare and Wii Fit would be given American dates of May.

First to arrive, apparently, will be game download service WiiWare on 12th May. This is similar to Live Arcade and PSN and will offer small, original titles for purchase.

Following it on 19th May will be Wii Fit, supposedly, which comes with a balance board that senses weight movement and has you doing press-ups and yoga and all sorts of things you normally avoid.

Surely that would mean NOE as 'Eurogamer' spoke to them?! Hope so!

Mario Kart is the 11th April, Wii Fit in May and Brawl in June?

That's great (if it is NOE) because, I've just been reading the brilliant "Iwata asks" Wii.com interview series regarding Wii fit (in fact, I've read lots, but I haven't even reached part 2 yet!) - did you know, that there'll be games that don't use the board at all, one example being one that sets you off jogging while watching regular TV, lol! :D

Nintendo.fi states that Wii Fit release date for Europe is 25.4. Nice, considering US release is in May.
