Where the Wild Things Are game coming

It's out alongside the film in time for Xmas.

Warner Bros. has confirmed a game is on the way to tie-in with the movie of Where the Wild Things Are.

Like the film, it's based on the classic children's book originally published in 1963. You play as Max and get to explore the island of the Wild Things. Eventually you'll become their king and fight to get them to safety.

Where the Wild Things Are is in development for DS, Wii, PS3 and Xbox 360. It's out in November.

The film, which is directed by Spike Jonze, will follow on 11th December. You can watch the trailer over on Slashfilm.

I got in trouble aged 4 for reading that book too loudly whilst waiting in a line to get my work marked at primary school.

But they didn't crush my creative spirit, did they!! /high fives imaginary friend

Oh, and there is a 95% chance the game will be a duffer.

Damn Hollywood, why do they have to go and ruin another childhood memory. But they can't take The Hungry Caterpillar away from me.

I loved the book as a kid.

The movie might be good as a kids movie, but I don't think it will appeal to adults (Not necessarily a bad thing really considering their not the target audience anyway) but I just can't see the game being good. That said if the movie appeals to the kids it'll probably sell bucket loads anyway.
