Well score one point against PES2009.

But I wonder how much it will cost? If it was free, it would be a major influence on me choosing a footy game. I'm not going to pay for it though, I'd prefer just to download PES option file.

Finally, this has been a long overdue feature, I would have been contempt with January stat/transfer update but this will do nicely.

Subscription costs though... :/

Updating squads is fine, but stats is a big no no. How can you play at a decent level if the player abilities are always changing? It's a bit of a joke this.

What a pointless exercise, omg ronaldos trickery stat has yet again increased +1 quick grab your controller! And they want me to pay for this?!

Actually, I think I slightly misunderstood the article at first read. Updating stats would be ok, if it was along the lines of fixing players who have clearly been under or overrated e.g. Fabregas and Crouch on Pro Evo 5/6. However, weekly tweaks would be perhaps an annoyance. Definitely not worth a subscription. EA should use ideas like this as a Unique Selling Point, not a cash cow.

Yep it is a ridiculous idea. I can understand making improvements in player ability through gameplayer performance but using reality as the benchmark is bizarre. It gives me no control over the improvement/decline of a player. dumb.

But as long as FIFA gets rid of the on-rails gameplay I may consider purchasing it......maybe.

Apart from Fernando Torres, obviously, who is perfect in every way.
Thanks for that, that's the funniest thing I've read all day.

Very interesting. Dont see how it can work though. Squad updates are great. Player updates. How will they do that properly or fairly?

I can only see this working for one-off games where real-life performance can be a factor in picking a team for a match. I presume these stat changes wont affect squads in saved tournaments and leagues etc. If they did change it wouldn't work. eg. so my 20+ goal machine is now 'out of form' or not as good as people thought?

They should really abort this idea.
