We Cheer for Europe in early 2009
Wii pom-poms from Namco Bandai.
505 Games is bringing Wii cheerleading game We Cheer to Wii in early 2009.
This Namco Bandai outing turns two Wiimotes into a pair of pom-poms, which are waved around in time to music on the screen.
That music, incidentally, features the likes of teeny-boppers Hilary Duff, KC & The Sunshine Band and Paramore.
Cheerleaders can be created from scratch and then customised with various provocative outfits, and additional dancers can be unlocked later in the game to form squads.
We Cheer has a Workout Mode with tailored exercise programs and a virtual fitness instructor, as well as a Cheer Off multiplayer mode for two or four players.
What do we want? We Cheer gallery. When do we want it? Fired?

Sold.
I reckon this could be good fun if they do it right. Which they won't, but there you go. It's not too far removed from Samba Di Amigo, but with manga babes in bikinis instead of monkeys, is it?

This, however, looks a bit crappy.

What next Nippon Ichi does a We love Swimming game?
On that note, does Nintendo hold the sole rights to have Wii in the title like Wii love cheerleading? - I just realised this is a dumb question of course they do. "duh"

Why wait? Traded one a couple of weeks ago, Gamestation and Blockbuster will give £120 trade-in on the console on it's own.

Ah didn't realize you was in Ireland I'm sure you would get similar deal though. In all honesty though I wouldn't wait until Christmas, many people seem to be getting rid of Wii at the moment so I don't think there will be a shortage then. The Blockbuster I went to had LOADS of 2nd hand Wii.

Look at the gameplay, not the graphics. It's like listening to a bunch of 10 year old boys who still think girls smell and anything they like is by default, lame. Honestly.

So it inevitably has come to this then.

Anyhow kids, remember: It's not the bad titles that makes a console. is the good ones.

I remember posting things like this in defense of the Wii..."The games will come", I kept assuring myself. Little did I know *what* games where coming. Cheerleading, beach sports and cooking sims ahoy!

afterall, just because eurogamer does an article about WE CHEER doesn't mean i have have to buy it, play it, be interested in it, or read about it. it doesn't mean that other games i might like will be cancelled either. it just means there's another game for a different group of wii owners.
still, it's always fun to read numerous (ex)wii owners threatening to sell there wii after articles such as this. i'm no fanboy though, feel free to sell it. you could get a high end 360 or a ps3 with the profits and enjoy their many great games. it's great to be a multi-system owner(and i'm just one of the 'casual' gamers)

Its kind of funny that something like this and madworld would sit on the same shelf in a games shop, absolutely hilarious.
Keep it real and buy the latter when its released, you owe it to the industry.
