Warriors, Ion Assault on XBLA on Weds

Alongside Zombie Apocalypse.

Microsoft has announced another two games to join Zombie Apocalypse on Xbox Live Arcade tomorrow.

They are Ion Assault, a mash-up of Geometry Wars and Super Stardust HD but with co-op and a campaign of sorts, and The Warriors: Street Brawl.

The latter, based on the cult 1979 film, takes a side-scrolling beat-'em-up approach, allowing four friends to play together either online or on the same machine. There's head-to-head multiplayer, too, to find out who the real Warchief is.

Do not confuse Street Brawl with 2005's The Warriors on PS2 and Xbox, although film fans may already be sated by the latter - Ellie certainly was.

You can find shots and descriptions of Ion Assault and The Warriors: Street Brawl on the official Xbox website.

Both games cost 800 Microsoft Points (£6.80/€9.60).

    I must say, those games don't look half bad. If the Warriors plays like SOR or FF I might even buy it.

    Warriors looks like utter arse, looks worse than the Turtles in Time remake. They'd have been better off releasing the Rockstar game for download, god knows I'd have bought that!

    Never mind Zombie Apocalypse, any news on Left 4 Dead Crash Course yet?

    @bodypopper

    L4D Crash course was announced to shut up the very vocal guys pointing out that L4D2 wasn't worth the money. It's pretty obvious at this stage that Valve hadn't started any new L4D1 content before the announcement and are probably busy knocking this up double time. Given that episode 3 seems to be turning into Half Life 3, I'm loosing a lot of the respect I used to hold for Valve. It seems that the bigger you grow the less humanity remains within an organisation and misguided business practices slowly start to take over. It happened to Activision, EA, Ubisoft etc. etc. I guess it was naive to think that it wouldn't eventually happen to Valve.

    Err... we talking about the same Valve? Also "losing".

    Calm down Penhalion. If you don't want L4D 2 don't buy it. It's that simple.
    Valve is a (successful) business like any other - it doesn't owe you anything.

    What do you mean, "Who's the real Warchief?" Thrall of course!

    Just as I suspected, Warriors is utter gash!

    Typical bog standard XBLA title. Just bring out the original for BC, you lazy cunts.
