WarHawk patched

Stat and connectivity fixes.

Sony has officially deployed the 1.1 patch for PeacePigeon aka WarHawk, and this time it actually meant to release it and everything. Game director Dylan Jobe describes it as "a fast download", which will zap its way down your Interpipes when you next fire up WarHawk.

But what does it do, I hear you ask? It addresses "critical issues with stats and connectivity". Specifically, "stat connection, fetch/post fixes; significantly improved client connection stability; quad '????' ping display bug fixed; added support for Player-Ranked Servers; game synchronisation fixes due to fluctuating network conditions (packet-drop); crash fixes for end of game and split screen".

But wait, that sounds boring! Fortunately, Jobe and his Incog pals are also working on a 1.2 patch that introduces new layouts for existing maps, clan and Buddy list options for servers and other interesting tweaks.

    Great game but the patch demoted my Air Marshal to an Airman Class 1. Admitedly I was an Air Marshal on my first run through which seemed generous, but I thought the PS3 recognised my greatness and rewarded me accordingly. My Red and White Warhawk is now a bland green one again.

    Yea I'm a Wingman - simply because I can't be assed to get that Bandit 4x4 badge. Looks like I won't be going up in rank anytime soon. Grrr.

    It may have been a fast download, but the servers were offline a lot longer than they were meant to be. I re-downloaded the entire Warhawk and repatched it again after trying to unsuccessfully login 8 hours after maintenance ended. It only started working as far as I could tell the following day.

    Edited to add that I'm also tagged as a Captain under my title, but my stats show my rank as airman 1st class last night. I don't understand. How can I be both?

    From the official forums:

    In order for the viral-rank-up fix to properly correct your rank, you will need to play in a ranked game, then quit or log-out and then restart Warhawk. This naturally occurs during a play session but if you are eager to see your correct rank RIGHT NOW, please perform those steps.

    I've been playing this game for hrs, and have to say
    it's a blast online and very smooth.

    Only issue I have is that it doesn't register my actual playtime
    or kills! Say's I've only played for 44mins when I've played for
    well over 4 hrs!

    Is this something the patch should fix and have other gamers
    experienced the same?

    The stats only update if you're playing on a ranked server. Did you play 4 hours on a ranked server?

    Actually, they got them working roughly on time, but the initial version of the patch had a bug that only affected users of the European PSN version of the game, and removed the owner flag on the game rendering it unusable by any account. Once they fixed the patch, affected users need to delete and re-download the game to correct the error.

    As I'm new to Warhawk I may well have played on an unranked Server.

    Thanks for the heads up and next time I'll filter RANKED matches only.

    Jeez my KDR took a severe hit trying to get that bandit 4x4 badge damn landmine whores, thankfully that is out of the way and when I get enough points it's off to get the tank bandit badge. :)

    I have no problem with mines either... just not when I'm trying to 4x4 people. :p

    @GChris which is what I ended up doing. This upgrade did not go well at all. I hope they streamline the process the next time around.
