(In my opinion something that should have been included in the original as it was a bit limited.)

Have given it a shot and the new ship reminds me of the galaxy transport or bomber in Planetside. As per the review, great if your part of a team but ignore if your solo playing.

Within 5 seconds of trying the add on I was getting an old PS flashback:
Muppets pick it up and insist on landing in front of you to get on. Then when you do you find they can't fly the thing for toffee and either:
a) Crash
b) Get shot down
c) Skid along the ground until you get bored and jump out.

So best to ignore. Shooting a fully loaded one down though is cool. Also the new map is too large with a lot of driving/flying, brief skirmish then (if your crap like me) back to a spawn point to do it all over again.

Ah, feel like I'm in Planetside again! ;)

Isnt it a wee bit on the late side for this review? The booster pack's been out since mid december.
I loved the new map, not too big at all. As for the dropship, it is a bit underpowered but still loads of fun. Though i agree that the booster pack is a bit on the slim side on new content its offering, it still makes a great game even better. 8/10

Beano what do you mean? Different reviewers giving their own view on something? Terrible stuff that, terrible! I'm sick of these people asking "what has happened to EG", just piss off if you don't like it read somewhere else. The score doesn't mean anything to you, the text describes why it got there but it's the detail where you get your information TO MAKE YOUR OWN MIND UP.

@Lexx87: Why don't you relax a bit - so suddenly readers are not allowed to comment on review scores?

Of course different reviewer have different opinions... but 10 for Rez and 5 for Omega Dawn is simply retarded!

Rez HD is a nice nice game, but a fairly simple and 7-8 year old game which was allways style over content. I like Rez... but a perfect 10 ??... no way!

Why not reward new games and content instead of remaking old games we allready played years ago.

Gotta say that the drophship is great for rescuing team mates on CTF who would otherwise be flipped and mauled in a jeep. Like all the other vechicles in Warhawk it's fit for purpose. You just have to figure out what that purpose is.

Sorry for the rant Beano, i'm just annoyed at it all recently. I just don't take it all that seriously...if a reviewer gets excited with rose tinted glasses on then it will get a very high score won't it. I just live by if it's an 8-10 it's worth checking out.

Amen ElasticTangent. I usually end up doing flag transport with it, and its absolutely fantastic for that.

You really need at least 3 passenger in it for it to become useful offensively, which is fine when I get in with clan mates (DQH ftw!), but it seems every other Warhawk player seems absolutely useless at flying the thing.

Shrui - every good Galaxy pilot spent at least a week landing, flying and crashing the thing to get the hang of it. Of course occasionally some moaning git would get in by mistake, insist on being taken to a certain location, complain about the flight, and then get dropped in the sea.

Yeah Space Giraffe..., oh no that's a 360 title, scratch that.

Dude, admit it, this is like a football team support, every thing Sony pulls out of its ass you guys, at best, say its average, never ever bad.

I've just given my comment a solid 4/10. I thought Lexx87 probably deserved 8/10, and Beano a paltry 2/10.

Disc: 8/10 - Sharp, pithy and to the point
Shrui: 9/10 (or -4/10 - I'll wait for other reviews before deciding what I think)
Sneerk: reckons he's 8/10 - can't agree or disagree, I'll go with 8/10
Symbiote: M for mature
Tinderbox: 9/10 - marmite comment. Not everyone will agree, but the style shines through
Murphy245: 9/10 - nerr nerr
Zuljin: 10/10 - extra point awarded for smarts up top
ElasticTangent - 8/10 - sounds like he knows the score (which is 8/10)
Artemis_Matsas - 4/10 or 7/10 - could have been better, could have been worse

6/10 the bar

5/10 isn't bad, it's average. The pack adds one average map and one average vehicle, so 5/10 seems spot on to me. And I love Warhawk! (see the readers Top 50...)

Yes, pretty late review. I played some online games against a fairly well organised clan, and the battles in the big ship can get pretty fun, and when used well (i.e. fill it up with a bunch of people), the transporter can be a big pain. It's quite spectacular too, being a gunner on such a huge ship flying over these maps. These expansion packs definitely seem aimed at the more dedicated player though, as they will get much more out of this ...

Oh and obviously in the new map, the central tunnel with 'accellerated' roads are kind of essential in relation to the size of the map, which kind of was the whole point of the map, I'd be guessing. Strange that you completely ignored that aspect of the map in the review.

miiiguel , you are again trying to make this a 360 vs. PS3 debate... please stop NOW!

SpaceGiraffe was a new game (well close anyway) among many other new games on XBLA, which I applaud... but Rez HD is not and why score a 7 year old game a perfect 10?
As I wrote : Rez is great but just not a 10... not 7 years ago, and still not.

Marking down a map pack because it doesn't revolutionise the game? When thousands of happy punters are still blasting away? O_o And it's hardly a premium download pack - anyone that can afford a PS3 and the original can afford a couple of bucks, of not, tough sh*t. Not exactly the Ace Combat ripoff.

Got to admit, I find it a tough map to play - more difficult than the rest of the original maps to find things - easy to get stuck on foot looking for something decent to shoot with and at. But the size and seamless complexity is impressive, and a fully loaded dropship opening up with the tracer fire in the dark is a heck of a sight - even more so if you're on the pointy end.

Sure, we're all hanging out for more WarHawk additions, but for a couple of bucks, it's good stuff.

Think this would be better placed in a general roundup of PSN DLC content to be honest but anyway EG if you read this get on to Sony about the import/DLC issue. People who imported Warhawk can not access the Omega Dawn pack because DLC is region locked and the stores block most international credit cards. Given the whole region free gaming thing was touted so much it seems incongruous that people who import are then blocked from any expansion packs. Lot of irate people on the PS forums trying to get a solution at the moment but Sony are blocking their ears and pretending it doesn't exist.

Ha, ha! The first time I saw the title I read it as "Operation Mega Down". I don't know about other countries but here in Poland we use "Down" as a metonymy for a person with Down syndrome or simply as an insult (OK - it's not politically correct but I don't care =).

Needless to say - I laughed out loud...

As to the comments about the review score. You DO realize that this is a score for the expansion pack and not the whole game? The expansion pack simply isn't that fantastic and certainly not very good value for money so why do you keep on whining and even comparing a full game like Rez HD to a goddamn expansion?
