4th time lucky? It seems like every major update is practically make or break for WAR.

The land of the dead to me is very simular to what LOTRO has with Ettenmores (sp?) an offshoot but like that it's seems very much drop in, drop out. TLotD is priity much required now with the city seige basically 'on farm' on the two major EN servers with a lot of the players otping to avoid the 'RVR' as much as possible and basically opting for a server heavy on their chosen side, so barely a defence and storming thru Teir 4 every night to the city rendering things like the city rank and keep upgrades pritty much pointless additions atm.

Hopfully this will devide the playerbase between the city and the tombs now so you aren't forced to follow the zerg or be zerged, then again it could just all end up the same with the tomb permalocked to one side as 'numbers win', thats the core lesson here, has Mythic finally found a way to force the factions to be in more then one zone at once, so WAR is truly 'everywhere'? Or it just a new place to dump the server during waiting for things to lock.

Thats one of the most frustrating things about WAR, the quality is there, the potenal is there, the IP is one of the best out there for a PVP/RVR game, but Mythic trust the playerbase too much to follow the way the game should be played, but thats not player nature, thats whats crushing the game.

Ain't that the truth. Sadly you've hit the nail firmly on the head with your post.

I've more or less shelved this game for now because the zerg nature of the game is just depressing me. Every time I log on Destruction almost completely own T1-3 with T4 not far behind (as in they have locked 2 out of the 3 zones per tier with an order WB zone hopping in order to try to recap a keep here and there and get out of there before the inevitable 2-3 WB destro zerg show up).

However, this is as likely to be another annoying zerg fest as not, we're outnumbered T1-3 why wouldn't we be outnumbered here too? If they can lock down this zone by locking those zones this will change nothing, just an area we (Order) won't really see.

How is Warhammer Online these days? - I keep intending to try it out, but I can never be arsed - Suffering from Nammos (Not another MMO syndrome).

@Iron: 3/4 of the game are enjoyable - it's just as we said it's the whole 'not wanting to face other players' bit in the late game thats not making it fun for either side player actally wanting to have a fight - The irronny we have PVE players in a PVP gamne and WoW is full on grankers.

They really need to get a third faction going, IMO to mix up the balance a bit. I'd fully expect Skaven to get introduced at some point, although personally I can't stand them!

IronCladChicken: If you want to try it, go for the US version (trial is on their site I believe). I cannot stress this enough. I've tried both and not only are the US servers taken care of better (Mythic host them themselves) there is a working forum community and the servers are much, much busier.

Do a bit of research into which servers see the most traffic first and you'll be having a blast from tier 1 right to 4.

If you like, PM me your email and i'll send you a recruitment trial.
