Three brand new demos on Xbox Live
Wanted! Wheelman! Wrestlemania! Wow.
Three tantalising new demos have hit XBLA this afternoon, namely The Wheelman, Wanted: Weapons of Fate and Legends of Wrestlemania.
The Wheelman is Vin Diesel's second demo of the week, what with all the Riddick, but couldn't be more different to the stealthy prison-breaking of Dark Athena. It's all about an on-the-run getaway driver larking about in Barcelona, where we're pretty sure he meets up with Scarlett Johansson and Penelope Cruz for a wild threesome in the back of a Austin Allegro on a major motorway at rush hour. There are guns and stunt driving as well, but it's the hot lady-on-lady action we're looking forward to rendered as quicktime events.
Wanted is another movie tie-in, all about bullet curving assassins as well as honour, death and betrayal. Probably. It's been done by GRIN, the studio behind GRAW and GRAW 2 as well as Bionic Commando, both regular and rearmed, so don't dismiss is just yet. That's what the demo's for.
Lastly, Legends of Wrestlemania lets players recreate"classic" "fights" from 80s and 90s. What this means in practice is being able to rub Hulk Hogan and Andre the giant up against each other while doing hilarious squeaky voiceovers which suggest they're pleasuring each other. For us, at least.
All three are available now, go get 'em.

It's meant to be a bit more 'Back to basics' than the SvR games. I like the look of it.

My girlfriend suggested we see that as the first movie we ever went to watch, and I still take the piss out of her for it now.

I liked Wanted, it's a love or hate game though.
Haven't tried Wheelman yet.

The game's ok, nothing spectacular but solid. I suspect the demo level isn't a high point of the game as it's so enclosed, and I think the game will get better the more you play it (it wants to be fast paced and stylish, rather than slow and tactical), similar to the mechanics of Mirror's Edge, though obviously very different.
And The Wheelman... It's kinda ugly, very Outrun (but in a bad way) and kinda stupid. The tornado (or whatever it's called) special is cool though.

Great job with the news EG. Suppose you'll report it next week sometime.

Agreed, it's confusing to see "XBLA" banded about when things are on the Marketplace, and clearly nothing to do with the Arcade. "Marketplace" or even "XBLM" would be better. When referring to the Prince of Persia DLC in the new releases pack the use of "XBLA" actually gave the impression it was a full release rather than additional content for the retail game.

They are behind games like GRAW and GRAW2 on the PC, the PC version was not a port.

Wheelman is great though, will be buying it on release, I like the focus attacks (doing 180 degree turn then shooting things in slow-mo) etc, great game. Fairly large demo as well 3 missions to play.

Imagine if the missions in GTA played anything like that!

I just think it's sad when people think they need the approval of others to watch something or else they feel ashamed. "
Dude it's wrestling! Anyone who watches that crap SHOULD be ashamed!
Anyway tried the demo (much to the amusement of Mrs bad09!) and it was pretty damn fun playing as the hulkster against Andre, I can't believe at 33 I'm saying this but if the roster is full of golden oldies I may actually buy it
Oh, and Wheelman was wicked fun, it's like if GTA had knocked up burnout \o/
