Valve has published public Achievement statistics for its latest zombie shooter, Left 4 Dead, on the Steam website.
The statistics show the percentage of total players (of the PC version only, we assume, since the data is collected through steam) to unlock each Achievement in the game.
The most common Achievement is "Drag and Drop - Rescue a Survivor from a Smoker's tongue before he takes damage."
No players at all have managed "Zombie Genocidest" yet - you need to kill 53,595 Infected for that, so we suspect it's only a matter of time.
Perhaps the most surprising stats are those for completion. Only 0.2 per cent of players have managed to survive all campaigns on expert, and the individual campaigns have only been survived by between 19.5 and 29.7 per cent of players.
Shape up, people. They're only zombies.
Left 4 Dead is out now for PC and Xbox 360 and we really liked it.

I decided to give the demo another play the other day.
"Pre-loaded. Please purchase" >:-( OK. I'll buy it, I was going to eventually anyway. /input all info "Game is not available in your country" o_0 I'm on a PC in Germany paying with a UK credit card. I don't know if it took it's country info from my IP or the credit card address. Let me buy your game! |

no the survivor achivment is broken
i survived no mercy with just being incapped and didn't get it then the next one i got murdered and was idle and everything and got the achivement for that |

"I suspect the survival (that is campaign completion) achievements are broken. Or there is some rule preventing you from getting the achievement if you've been idle even for a second." I don't know about preventing you from getting it when you're idle, but I've played through 3 of the campaigns and have two of the achievements: I didn't make it out alive from Death Toll, so although I "completed" it I didn't survive it. |

To achieve ether of the campaign complete achievements you need to survive each stage (not die at all) in the campaign, i too once thought it was broke but found out this is why i did not achieve some of them.
As for the expert achievement that's insanely hard to get, its hard enough of advanced

Deeper stats please, Valve. I was hoping for accuracy, weapon usage, headshots etc. This is pretty weak.
